Born out of the desire to provide inclusive and healthy solutions for women, Essentials By Edwina is a vegan, cruelty free, makeup collection for women of color. Founder Edwina Kulego launched Essentials By Edwina in 2017 as a response to the lack of diversity in the beauty industry

Made with only quality ingredients, Essentials By Edwina is carefully designed to amplify and enhance the natural beauty of the everyday woman. Creating a luxurious and classic product for women who aren’t always represented is our mission. Thanks to the soft and creamy properties of our formula, it applies evenly, without creasing or drying the lips.

In today’s beauty market finding your perfect nude shade shouldn’t be a hassle, yet it remains a problem that many women with darker skin tones face; The Legacy Collection serves as a solution. The Legacy Collection features 6 non-traditional nudes for women of color. Inspired by Africa; continent so rich in pigment and diversity, the shades of The Legacy Collection are named after various destinations on the continent.

Edwina’s Story 

In 2017, Edwina Kulego launched Essentials by Edwina in partnership with Celfie Cosmetics out of the frustration of not being able to find nude lipsticks that matched her skin tone. She identified a void in the market and decided to do something about it.

Born and raised in Sweden by Ghanaian parents, Edwina Kulego has established herself as a prominent figure within the beauty, fashion and global business space; engaging in public speaking, brand collaborations, philanthropy and strategic partnerships.
